Today we announce the launch of a single merged entity and brand: TRIAX.

Following the announcement of the merger between Ikusi Multimedia and TRIAX, we are excited about this next step in our journey in transitioning the two entities into a single company that has a deeper solution offering to the market as well as a broader expanding global footprint.

The headquarters for the united organisation will be in Denmark with subsidiaries in 11 countries and partner presence in 60 more.

Group CEO Ken Cordes explains the significance of becoming one company:

“Having one name and one brand is the mark of a new beginning. By becoming one company, it will make it clear to our employees, partners and customers what to expect from us. Also, it will allow us to focus further on developing products and solutions for a rapidly changing market.

Becoming one company

The rebrand of the company is an ongoing progress. The consolidated product offering will be made available in early 2022.

New CEO for TRIAX

Ken Cordes will lead the newly merged TRIAX A/S and Ikusi Multimedia.

Hornsyld, Denmark, 10 September 2021 – The board of directors has appointed Mr Ken Cordes to the position of CEO of TRIAX. He takes up his position on 20 September 2021.

Mr Cordes, an American native, has been based in Denmark since 2007 and has a strong executive background in technical industries, with a focus on converting customer needs and market trends into value-adding products and solutions for partners, customers and end-users.

Mr Cordes will lead the combined organisation formed following the merger between TRIAX and Klode Media, the former Multimedia business unit of Ikusi, whose shared vision is to be the preferred partner to professionals for connected products and online services.

join forces in planned merger

Danish company TRIAX and Spanish company Ikusi Multimedia announce the planned merger of the two companies in an agreement between TRIAX owner Polaris Private Equity and Ikusi Multimedia owner Velatia Group.

With headquarters, production and R&D base in Hornsyld, Denmark, TRIAX A/S is a global supplier of products and solutions for the reception and distribution of video, audio and data signals. The company operates globally with 9 international sales subsidiaries and distributors in more than 60 countries.

Ikusi Multimedia, a business unit of Ikusi Electrónica, S.L., offers innovative, high technology solutions for the reception, processing and distribution of audio-visual digital content, focussing on providing high value-adding turnkey solutions to operators, installers, integrators and professional electronic equipment distributors. The company is headquartered in San Sebastián, Spain and operates primarily in Europe and Asia-Pacific.

With more than a century of combined experience, Ikusi Multimedia and TRIAX are brands renowned across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific for quality, reliability and technological innovation.

Together the companies will become even stronger, providing customers and partners with leading products and solutions as well as an increased market footprint and strengthened regional presence. The 50/50 merger agreement is among other conditions subject to approval from the European competition authorities. Closing is expected in first quarter of 2021.
